… POINTERS FOR USING WORDPRESS…

1. When creating a new Post always…

a) Assign it to it’s relevant category or categories. Remember, some posts might well be relevant to visitors in different categories so tick as many as you think worthwhile.
b) Add a “Featured Image” (bottom right-hand corner of the screen). This way, when in “Archive” view, there will be an image on the screen (e.g. think of your long list of old poster images).
c) Try and remember to fill in the “Rich WP SEO” box under the main Post content area. This will go someway to helping your Google ranking.

2. When Uploading new images always…

a) Try and name the actual filename as something useful (i.e. relevant and memorable) and which might include a useful keyword for Google. You’ll soon have hundreds of images and searching for one in amongst filenames like “img1028r67rfg.jpg” is not going to be much fun.
b) At the very least rename the image in the box that isn’t greyed out.
